'From fear to freedom'
an ode to the liberation of exiles
Fear
Pain is fear
it doesn't feel like fear
since fear disguises itself
because we are so afraid
yes, that's the only answer
because we fear fear
which hides deep within us
like it's at home there
as if it's at ease there
we carry fear with us
like it's normal
as if we don't know any better
but the curious
wants to know and see
searches

we can search
if we are open
and honest with ourselves
if we gaze with love
at fear
which has been hiding
time and again
life after life
within us
then maybe
bit by bit
we can understand
the essence of fear
and when we truly see
it seems crystalline
we can pass through
without force
without action
it may well be
that the fear
that is rooted so deeply
which we are used to
which we even hold dear
that that fear
suddenly takes flight
into the space
and we gaze
into that space
and then we will
bit by bit
feel what space is

'Ego'
a poem about a manager
who would like to be the Self ~ Self-aspiring part ~
Ego, you're a little child.
You need a parent.
Somebody who knows what you really want
who gives you boundaries
and the safety of a listening ear
so that you can become a playful child again.
Don't be afraid of the world;
I'll be there for you, little Me.
I'll parent you
You can play with the other children in me
you will grow up among them
and you will slowly get to know yourself.
Words, wolf and stop-motion video: Isabelle van Dooren
Voice: Richard de Man
A part that would like to be the Self - a "Self-aspiring part" - can behave like the Self: calm and peaceful; but that serenity often lacks a deeper layer or a certain degree of surrender and embodiment. Self-aspring parts still have an agenda, while the Self has no judgement and no agenda.
'Rainforest'
'Rainforest' is a musical ode to the earth:
to her abundance and colorfulness.
Her liveliness, fertility and forgiveness towards us.
The heart of the rainforest is a symbol
for our planet's pristine sense of self.
